“To the future"
このモニュメントは、陸上自衛隊創隊50周年記念事業の一環として、陸上自衛隊50年の
歴史の歩みと将来への飛躍を祈念して製作したものです。
製作にあたっては、全国の隊員からデザインを募集し、モニュメント審査委員会が
選定した最優秀作品を基本デザインとして、専門家による補作を施して完成しました。
デザインの人型は守るべき家族と我が国を、着物の5筋は5個の方面隊を、髪の流れは
50年にわたる過去~現在を土台として未来へ続く時空を、子供は未来への発展を表現
しています。
We produced this monument as a part of the commemoration. The 50th anniversary of the Ground Self-Defense Force
and its leap to the future.
A monument screening committee commissioned designs from members of the Ground Self-Defense Force. This design
was selected as the best by that committee and was then sculptured by a professional artist.
The personal type of the design expresses our country as the family whom we should protect. The five types of a
kimono represent the regional armies. The flow of the fold expresses space and time spreading out to the future.
The child represents our development into the future.
